Works as advertised. Can't tell if it pulls the list from VS or if it builds its own as I only had one item in the list to begin with (just refreshed work compy to Win7), but you do have to launch VS before it shows the jump list (which makes sense, even if it's an standalone installer).

Thanks for your review!

This app implements the IVsSolutionEvents interface in order to know when project and solutions are opened or closed, and it does indeed, build its own list of solution files (It saves them in the registry: HKCU\Software\ichramm\RecentSolutions).

Getting the list of recent projects on installation is a good idea, but I have no clue about how does visual studio store it's recent projects... maybe in a later time I'll take a look at it.
