I use this addin extensively. It's one of those things you don't NEED, but it fills numerous unknown needs!

Support is also exemplary:
Version 1.31, and earlier, had a bug which broke operation Visual Studio 2012/2010 dependent files.

For example, if I had a *.tt file used in Entity Framework, with V1.31 installed and enabled, clicking on a file under the T4 parent did not display the file, just the tab, and would often crash VS.

Disabling the comments extender fixed the problem.

I notified the developer of this and within a day it was resolved. Great response!

Hi,

VS 2012 RTM crashes when trying to paste the following header in a .cs file:

//------------------------------------------------------------------------------
// <auto-generated>
// This code was generated by a tool.
//
// Changes to this file may cause incorrect behavior and will be lost if
// the code is regenerated.
// </auto-generated>
//------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you can't reproduce it try to disable and re-enable the extension after that. Then you should be able to reproduce the exception.

Only works in VS 2010.
In VS 2012 RTM +,++,-,-- don't work.

When I press "//" I want to also insert current time, something like "// 2012-01-11" or "// my name 2012-01-11". That will be cool

Hi,

.cs files with the following header in it makes VS2010 crash.

Christo - I will definitely have a look at this.

UPDATE: I replaced the dots and pasted the above header in several C# files - no crash! Can you please try the following and tell me if it makes any difference:
- enable the "Require whitespace between extended comment marker and commented text"
- uncheck "Enable the 'small' comment style" and "Enable the 'extra small' comment style" checkboxes.

As a side note, if you could contact me by e-mail regarding this issue, maybe we could advance more rapidly.
