    • Is there any way to contact the team that created this Provider (32-bit & 64-bit) for TFS 2010+?
I was wondering because I use a VB6 add-on called Codesmart that apparently is unable to integrate properly with this provider and therefore is unable to enhance the Source Control experience. That is one of the many things it does. The problem I have is that it has a replacement for the project explorer, but it unable to show when files are out-of-date.
I have had other questions as well, such as can we shelve changes using the provider?
  • Team Foundation Server 2012 Support for MSSCCI Provider 2010 64 Bit

    • The 32 Bit version supports TFS 2012 but when will the 64 bit version support TFS 2012? Is such support what is required to support VB 6 on Windows 7 64Bit?
    • I think I may have just answered my own question. The answer may be to install Visual Studio 2012 on the Windows 7 machine and then install the 32 bit MSSCCI Provider for TFS 2012.
    • There is a caveat to this and that is that Visual Studio 2012 requirtes Windows 7 SP1 whereas Windows 7 RTM is required for cope with the issue of SP1 breaking ADO based COM+ Applications. So it would be nice if we had some support for TFS 2012 on WIndows 7 RTM in some fashion.
    • Microsoft has already released an improved patch for the ADO breaking changes of Windows 7 SP1. It reverts back the 32-bit interfaces to what they are on Windows 7 RTM and provides additional versions especially in the 64-bit interfaces to take care of the issue they were trying to deal with.
  • Does it support 64 bit windows 7 & VS 2010 SP1?
