Very easy to use and yet full featured and bug free. Great job.

Great Product!!

The old saying of See one, do one, teach one fits me to a 'T' and so does the Simple MVVM toolkit. The project template itself is a working demo and Tony has a couple of great videos as well to help you learn. He also has a excellent Ria Services specific video as well on his blog blog.tonysneed.com.

This toolkit got my first MVVM project off the ground without me feeling like I was implimenting a bunch of stuff I didn't fully understand.

Thanks Tony

    • Tony -

When trying to install this on a Windows 7 32 bit with Visual Studio 2010 it fails with error 1304. Error writing to file Microsoft.VisualBasic.Activities.Compiler.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory.

I have verified, but I simply can't get past this error message. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I left a note in the forums on codeplex.
    • I uploaded a new version of the installer, which should fix the problem:
      https://simplemvvmtoolkit.codeplex.com/releases

We are, however, planning to release a WIX-based installer to provide more stability.

    • Hi Tony, have you considered re-tooling your toolkit with VSPAT (vspat.codeplex.com)? It would help you deploy your guidance and templates.
