There is an official MS download for Typescript support in VS 2012 at this link:
How does this relate? The "official" one refers to TS 1.0 "RTM".
Can we ignore that one and just install this one from now on?
Microsoft released a 1.0.1 version about a month after the 1.0 RTM version of typescript was released.
I do not know if you have had issues with the 1.0 RTM version, but the 1.0.1 is the latest and might be the last version for VS2012. If you are running VS2013 the update is currently delivered through VS2013 Update 2
Everytime I install this,it show I install is succesful. But I can't see it in the "extensions and updates". And it also didn't work.I tried Version 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 both. But still didn't work. Anyone can help me?
I do not see it in "Extensions and Updates" either. However, I do see it listed under Control Panel -> Program and Features.
Also, when you select "New Project", from the Installed Templates option you should get a TypeScript project type to select from
Hope this helps
Even if I have installed the Typescript 1.0.1 tools for VS 2012, the project configuration does not allow to configure any typescript settings. On VS 2013 it is available a "Typescript Build" tab that allows to specify Ecmascript version, Module system options and so on.
Is there a failure of my VS 2012 setup or is this a feature does not supported at all by VS 2012 ?
