Can this tool copy screen and also change it from details to add new. I did complicated screen with many features but as detail / edit and now I am not sure how to modify it to work as add new. The other way is easy.

thanks for the tool, but it works only for query cloning not for screen
when trying to clone an exception happen in a dialog with the text below
"Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

the version published here is 1.0 but it is written 1.1 on the site
please help.

Well spotted! I have updated the link. The first version was named incorrectly and the v1.1 has the name Xpert360.Lightning ... The extra '.' :O Sorry for the inconvenience, v1.1 should work for you.

    Clone appears to do nothing in VS2012 SP1

      Hi, I was super excited to see this even existed.  It worked great building in the RC, but alas, the 'clone' function doesn't do anything for me in Ultimate VS2012 (and SP1).   Specifically, when I click 'clone' on a screen, it does  nothing.  Just checking to see if there's an update soon?

      This tool sounds great, but I am also getting this issue. I am using VS 2012 Ultimate and the clone command appears to do nothing. Not even getting an error message, just no functionality? do you have any idea when this would be made available for this version of VS as the application I am building has many similar screens, and I am getting sick of rebuilding all this functionality over and over.

      Unfortunately the community edition screen cloning is in the backlog behind other work. The current active work in this area does include the commercial professional edition. The CE version will not be released for VS2012 RTM until after the Pro version ships.

      We are testing a new version for VS2012 SP1 (V2) and VS2012+HTMLClie​nt CTP4 (V3). Also the VS2010 version uses the same code base so we hope that we can extend the cloning functionality back to that.

The next CE version will not be released until after the Pro version ships. That is planned to happen in the next 2 weeks subject to successful beta testing.

      Hello,

Just tried this in VS2012, and when trying to clone a screen, I got an error...

Unable to cast object of type 'Microsoft.Lightswitch.VSIntegration.ProjectLogicalViews.Implementation.VsSubprojectApplicationItemCategory' to type 'Microsoft.Lightswitch.Designers.Common.IApplicationItemCategory'.

Any ideas? I tried this on a regular screen and an HTML screen (I ahve the HTML Client Preview 2 installed).

      Good timing. We are in the process of testing a new version for VS2012 and VS2012+HTMLClient. Also the VS2010 version uses the same code base. The cloning functionality is working nicely.

The next step is the Visual Studio integration part. Which hopefully will not take too long.

      Sorry guys been busy. The plan is to release CE versions for VS2010/LS2011 and VS2012 very soon as we are now back working on our FUSION product range. We have a whole bagful of goodies for LightSwitch devs.
