A full function treeview control for use with LightSwitch for displaying a hierarchical self-referencing (nested) list. It supports drag and drop, check boxes and many to many relationships. (Only $19.95)
I Purchased This control, and i'm using vs2010 ,when i tried the control as you write in documentation ,after adding data , the tree didn't affect , no data appears in the tree, just white box , although data inserted in the table
After being very frustrated with the limitations of the free many-to-many control extension, I hunted down this fantastic control that saved the day. Many thanks for a magnificent extension! PS: At $9.95 it's a no-brainer for anyone who needs to manage categories of items or many-to-many check-box selection types of functionality.
We purchased and using the control for a medium-sized app. The control seems to work very well but we encountered a little problem: when moving a child node to blank area to transform it to a root node the node disappears. After saving changes and refreshing screen the node appears in the right place (as root node).
Any idea to workaround the problem?
Many users have inquired about a VS2013 version of the treeview. It is being worked on, but running into difficulties at the moment.
In the meantime, you may be able to use the technique described by Beth Massi in the following article:
This has worked for several users.
I do not own this control and I'm working on a project in 2013RC. I know some extensions will work without a recompile or code change. Has anybody tried this control in 2013RC? I expect the author will update once 2013 is officially out. :)
Hi again Dave
I've looked and looked and cannot see why one of my screens works and the other fails.
Please take a look at these screen-shots.
Many thanks in advance, Mark.
I cannot get the pdf screenshots to open, but based on the project code you sent via email, I believe the problem you are having is related to needing to refresh the ProductCategories dataset anytime the Selected Product is changed. For the benefit of others reading the post, this can be done as follows:
On the screen designer, select the Products dataset. In the WriteCode dropdown, select Products_SelectionChanged and add the following line of code:
It should work as expected after this.
I followed your example and it works like a charm except for one issue.
If I am in the "Product List Details" screen with a product selected and a category checked, if I switch to the "Product Category List Detail" screen and then back to the "Product List Details" screen again whatever categories were checked are now un-checked and the * appears saying data has changed on the screen.
If I save then the checks are lost but if I refresh the screen they come back.
Please advise how to fix this.
I bought it today. I have one issue.
When I enable "Show Checkboxes" I always get:
"Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
1. Empty Collection. No problem
2. Add one category, even before save Error message appears.
Test is done under VS2012
I paid for this control yesterday and was promised an email with a download link. It never arrived and all my inquiries via email have gone unanswered. I'm a little pizzed. I'll report back when/if this gets resolved.
