A full function treeview control for use with LightSwitch for displaying a hierarchical self-referencing (nested) list. It supports drag and drop, check boxes and many to many relationships. (Only $9.95)
I Purchased This control, and i'm using vs2010 ,when i tried the control as you write in documentation ,after adding data , the tree didn't affect , no data appears in the tree, just white box , although data inserted in the table
After being very frustrated with the limitations of the free many-to-many control extension, I hunted down this fantastic control that saved the day. Many thanks for a magnificent extension! PS: At $9.95 it's a no-brainer for anyone who needs to manage categories of items or many-to-many check-box selection types of functionality.
Sorry, no demo control. However, if you go to our website at vblightswitch.com there is a very detailed user's guide that will give you a good sense of what it can do.
I bought it today. I have one issue.
When I enable "Show Checkboxes" I always get:
"Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
1. Empty Collection. No problem
2. Add one category, even before save Error message appears.
Test is done under VS2012

I paid for this control yesterday and was promised an email with a download link. It never arrived and all my inquiries via email have gone unanswered. I'm a little pizzed. I'll report back when/if this gets resolved.
How much level of customization exist, I´m interested in changing, icons, color, border, etc
Is there an option form this type of customization, or should I create my own template
Hi
Firstly, thanks for a fantastic extension.
I need users to be able to select "Store" records that have a many-to-one relationship with "Chain" records (e.g. stores in Chains like RiteAid and Wal*Mart).
At present a "Store" selection by a user is recorded in a many-to-many table named "StoreListItem" that have a many-to-one relationship with a "StoreList" table and a many-to-one relationship with the "Store" table.
What would be fantastic is if on selecting a "StoreList" record the "Chains" (as parents of the "Stores") could be expanded revealing the child "Store" records with a check box indicating if it has been selected (and already created) as a "StoreListItem" record.
Is this possible and if so please give me pointers on how to do this?
If it's not possible, how best could I handle the creation and viewing of "StoreListItems"?
Your advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for trying the Treeview control. I've spent some time trying to understand your data and the various relationships, but it's still not clear to me what the big picture is. It seems like many of the tables described are linkage tables, but I could be wrong.
Is StoreListItem a join table that points to one store and one StoreList?
What data does a StoreList row contain and what is it's business purpose? Is there a direct one to many relationship from Store to Chain? Can a store belong to more than one Chain?
If you have a data schema you could send, it would be useful. If these are LightSwitch tables, perhaps you could take screenshots of them and email that to me or post them here so I can better understand the data and business need.
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks for your interest in the Treeview Control. When you press the Get Now button above, it takes you directly to the page to purchase the control. Scroll to the bottom and press "Add to Cart". From there, Select "CheckOut" from the Navigation bar and that will take you to the Shopping Cart where you complete the transaction via PayPal, Visa or MasterCard. Please let me know if this does not work.
Thanks,
Dave
I have tried multiple times to buy your control, and have not been successful. I think you need to improve the website, navigation and steps to purchasing.
Thanks.
Cromanty,
Thanks for the feedback. I know several others have had unsuccessful attempts to purchase the control followed by successful ones. I believe it is something to do with PayPal, but I don't know this for sure.
Could you provide more specifics regarding the problems you are having so I can try and address them?
Thanks,
Dave
