Telerik Upload for ASP.NET is a specialized file-upload component that provides scalable file web upload handling with a rich progress status information display. Its highly efficient proprietary HttpModule allocates minimum server memory and enables optimized configurable single- and multi-file uploads.

Integrated Upload Controls
Telerik Upload consists of three controls for uploading and monitoring file progress: Upload, ProgressManager, ProgressArea.
Uploading Files
You can use the Telerik ASP.NET Upload and its components separately or together to perform different uploading actions: multi-file upload, uploading large files, automatic file storing.
Progress Areas
RadProgressArea automatically displays a progress dialog when files are uploaded. In addition, you can use it as a progress dialog for any other long process by supplying custom progress information using the server-side API.
Rich Client-side API and Events
RadUpload’s flexible client-side API, allows you to easily interact with all three Upload components and to achieve tasks while avoiding the post-backs that would trigger file uploading.
Server-side API
You can perform additional actions on uploaded files before saving them, or manipulate them in memory without saving them.
Reduced Server Load RadUpload control features an HttpHandler specially designed for monitoring the process and updating its progress. As a result upon a request for progress update the server does not pass through the complete page lifecycle as this is not needed.
Automatic File Validation
Telerik Upload control can automatically validate the size, extension and the MIME type of the uploaded files.
