A must have for Visual Studio

  • Source?

    • "...source code is included..."?

I'm looking into the vsix and I'm not seeing the source. Is it in the VS SDK? Or am I just having a ID-10-T moment?

      Thanks
    • Sorry, copy-n-paste error from the 2008 description. We're working on publishing the sources as a sample on code.msdn.microsoft.com/vsx. Should be up shortly.
    • Cool! Thanks :)
  • Its Disabled and can not enable it!!

    • Does anyone has got it worked! Its great tool.
In extension manager its showing installed but disabled! The enabled button is "disabled" so cant use it.
      thx
    • VS 2010 Beta 2, same problem. :-(
    • Well I figured it out. I have overlooked that it must be allowed in Tools > Options > Environment - Extension Manager and check Load per user extensions when running as administrator. There is a direct link at the bottom of the Extension Manager :-) It's working now. :-)
    • Installed it, worked great for some hours. Then started causing long delays. finally crashed my VS2010 B2.

The crash disabled the plug in, have not enabled it again, and VS2010 working fine without it.

What's wrong with the VS team? Why is this functionality not built into VS? PowerCommands for VS2008 has lots of unresolved bug, it has not been updated in a very long time. Will this version for VS2010 be the same? If so, that sucks.
    • GMagana, thanks for your feedback. I'm trying to reproduce and fix the issue you mentioned.
Please provide the details of your environment (OS, other versions of VS installed etc.). Also please describe the main classes of activity you performed in your VS2010 before the crash.
Ideally I would like you to enable the extension again and start VS with /log switch. Then please reproduce this issue and have a look into %AppData%\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0\ActivityLog.xml for any errors.
This info would help me to find the problem faster and fix it in the next release. Thank you for your cooperation.
