    TFS2010 to TFS2010

      Does this tool support moving branches between TFS projects?  Or consolidating TFS projects?  Specifically, TFS2010 supports moving code using branching, but work items do not transfer.  Does this tool help in that area?

      Does anyone know the answer to this question? I'm trying to migrate from one TFS server to another, and I can't figure out how to preserve our existing branches on the new server.

      Hi all,

Will the new (vNext) version of TFS Integration Platform support migration and sync sessions between TFS 11 and TFS 2010?

What is going to happen with existing TFS Integration Platform TFS-2010-to-TFS-2010 sync sessions after the upgrade of one of the TFS servers from 2010 to 11? Will the sessions have to be started over after the TFS upgrade?

    How can I resolve a conflict?

      The instructions in help are not helpful.
I am trying to migrate version control items from one TFS2010 project to another. They both have $/Test2/BuildProcessTemplates/DefaultTemplate.xaml and two other templates. These duplicate file names produce the conflict.  I have tried choosing every option I can think of. But I want to tellit to just ignore tihs. I only need the templates already there. I don't need the ones that were in the source project.

      I would like to know why reason in the list of providers does not appear "tfs 2008 migration vc provider" option.  Just shows the option for 2010. 

Is it necessary install Visual Studio 2008 on the computer?

    Areapath mapping issue

      Any know issue with this in the current build - I migrated some files fro the end customer and we saw that some of the Work Items did not arrive with the correct Area path that they were mapped to. I have logs on this if these are required for further investigation.

      Where can I find the release notes for this release?  Most (if not all) of the stuff that it says is "included in the March 2011 release" was in the previous release too.

I am about to do a lot of migrations from TFS 2008 to TFS 2010 and I would like to know if I will gain anything by upgrading.

      This is a bug fix update of the previous tool.  It rolls up fixes that were previously released on the http://tfsintegration.codeplex.com site into an officially supported Microsoft version.  We haven't enabled any new scenarios since the August 2010 release - only made some quality improvements.

We do recommend you use this release for your upcoming migrations.  Any migrations you already have in progress will be upgraded when you install this tool.
