Seems to insert spaces rather than honor the vs setting so cant use.

It's true, sorry! It's unlikely that it'll get fixed anytime soon, though if you're feeling adventurous, you can find the implementation here:

    • The extension appears grayed out in VS2012 Edit menu and doesn't execute when the key sequence is pressed. Any ideas?
    • Dunno; does it happen for all editor instances and file types, or only some?

    • It appears in Edit menu as Ctrl+Alt+¿, and nothing happens when:
      -I click on it
      -I enter that combination key
    • You'll probably need to re-bind the shortcut key; sadly, the way to bind those doesn't work well across different keyboard layouts, which is why you end up with sometimes weird default bindings (in this case, for VK_OEM_6). Sorry!

    • Is it compatible with Vs2008?
    • Nope, sorry. It's an editor extension that uses the new extensibility added in VS2010 (MEF, new editor), so it isn't compatible with VS2008.
  • I love it

    • I would also like to allign typed as bellow.
      Bug: try to allign following lines:
                  uint         effectiveItemId    = currentItemId;
                  IVsHierarchy effectiveHierarchy = currentHierarchy;
                  if (nestedHierarchy != null) {
                      effectiveItemId    = nestedItemId;
                      effectiveHierarchy = nestedHierarchy;
