It would be excellent if the this extension supported the new VIM style of line numbers. i.e. If it would display the current line number instead of 0 on the line the cursor is on and display the relative number for the other lines. This will make the default line number view not necessary.
Update: The new update adds the absolute line numbering. 5 stars.
I like how Vim in relative line number mode shows the absolute line number instead of zero for a current line. Can we have the same here? Displaying zero doesn't is not that informative anyway (you know it's zero if it's a current line).
Sometimes in larger files it's harder to see where you are without seeing your absolute position. I know it's displayed in the status bar, but having it in the current window is more convenient.
And thanks a lot for a useful extension!
This is an awesome extension - I'm a VsVim user and guessing larger block sizes just went from being a fine art to a science!
Minor bug - when I change the font size for the text editor in Visual Studio, the relative line numbers don't change size until I've restarted the IDE.
When the source line number is between 10 and 20, navigating in lines may cause the max relative line number to 2 digits (>=10) or 1 digit (<10), the switch blinks editor and move editor position a little in horizontal, it is possible to always reserve 2 digits space to show relative line number even if the max line number is less than 10?
Thx for the addin :) It will be nice to get a option in settings to select lines count direction.
At this moment it's always: ASC but for me more useful is Desc.
When I click on the begining of method which is bigger then current screen then I would like to see max lines count in scope without scrolling to the end of method (scope).
working remote on my workstation, I had to zoom into a window to have a clear font.
After zooming to 110% the relative line numbers were not in line with the current line anymore.
I changed the background of the column of the relative line numbers to be white, like the rest of my screen.
After (re)starting VS2010 Premium, the settings dialog shows still the white configuration for the background, but the editor has a black background for the column of relative line numbers.
Any fix available?
I cannot reproduce this one.
Does this happen all the time? After restart can you change the background to some other color successfully? Can you give me more details to reproduce the bug?
yes, it happens all the time (re)starting VS2010, the rel. line numbers column is black, even if the configuration dialog tells, it should be white.
After setting the color again to white or an other color, everything is as expected.
I'll try to set it to another color than white and will restart VS2010 to see, what will happen.
I'll send you the results!
