The Visual Studio 2012 Integrated Help Viewer Extension integrates the Help Experience directly into the IDE, providing the ability to view and navigate help topics without ever leaving your Development Environment
When I do the F1 to bring up help on a topic, it always defaults to C#, and I am in VB. Is there something I am missing? I click the VB button, and it displays correct VB help. Go to next topic, and its back to C#.
This is a brilliant idea.
Getting multiple help windows is available through the context menu. Could you expose this functionality through middle-click on links/index/search (like H3Viewer) or at least Ctrl-Click (like Help Viewer 2.0)?
It appears that some pages will not display in the integrated browser.
I followede the path (from tree node in TOC)
Windows Development (Windows) -> Windows Application UI Development -> Windows and Messages.
The same topic displays fine in the help 2.0 viewer altho pasting the link in I.E. does not. Many of the older Win32 Documentations give this error such as dialog boxes etc..
I tried an index and search for CreateWindow, ShowWindow, and a few others off the top of my head and they all yield the same results.
Using VS 2012 Ultimate and the complete MSDN library installed locally.
Hi, you need to manage the installation of your Help Content using the Help Viewer application. While in Visual Studio find the Help Menu and choose the 'Add and Remove Help Content Item'. This will launch the Help Viewer Application and you will be able to manage/install/uninstall your locale help content. Hope that helps!
