Doesn´t work at all in Visual Studio 2012.
Doing the same like in the video, but no snippets are showing up.

It's a very great time saver, and also by browsing the snippets I'm improving my jQuery skills. Many thanks to the creator ;-)

  • jQuery syntax highlighting

    • Could you modify the plugin to add syntax highlighting of native jQuery functions? That would really help us a lot to develop with jQuery in VS2015, thanks.
  • Invalid XML document

    • Hi, i get with the new version (1.6.0) in Visual Studio 2013 this error:
      ..\VisualStudio\12.0\Extensions\yflwi5xz.e13\\JavaScript\\jQuery\jqAppend.snippet Invalid XML document
    • I am not able to reproduce. Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling the extension?
  • Resharper

    • Is anyone aware of how to get these snippets working the same way with Resharper? My custom snippets only seem to be available by pressing Ctrl + J after I have installed Resharper. I want the old way back (just start typing + tab)!
    • +1 :)
    • +1 would also like to see this work in combination with ReSharper.
  • Unable to install

    • For some reason I can't install this extension.

    • Just saw this. Did you figure out your problem?
    • I have the same problem.
Also, in install report said, that it works only for VS pro vers.11 & 12.
Is there solution for VS 2013 Express?
      Thanks in advance.
    • Does VS Express allow VSIX extensions? Alternatively, you could just download the source and drop in the .snippets manually.
  • Tab vs Ctrl K + Ctrl X
    3 Posts | Last post January 09, 2014
    • This may be the same issue as kspearrin, but I see the snippets work that were part of this extension using tab. The snippets that I create and place in the Javascript category under a folder named CodeSnippets/MyJS only show up if I press Ctrl K + Ctrl X and navigate through the path to find them. If I type the shortcut and type Ctrl J, intellisense brings up the list from the jQuery folder. I also have Resharper (version 7) installed. Did you do anything special to enable the intellisense to recognize your snippet folders?
P.S. Thank you for this extension, it saved me hours of snippet setup time, and who knows how much dev time.
    • Though your issue seems to be different than the one I posted below, I ended up just uninstalling Resharper to resolve my problem. I could not figure out a way to make the snippets work as seamlessly with Resharper installed.
    • Oh well, I am glad I have a workaround and something that has already saved me time. Who knows, perhaps Resharper 8 might be different, I will have to wait for a sale again though. Going to give a demo of this to my team tomorrow to see if I can help them to use snippets. Thanks again!!!
  • Snippets support within TypeScript files

    • How can I get the Snippets menu to become available when editing TypeScript files?
Is it planned to have TypeScript versions of these snippets?
  • camelCase naming

    • Please rename the snippets using the camel case convention to make them more easily readable.
    • Good suggestion. I will add this to the todo list.
