Found this tool to be unstable after the .tt files were imported and changed within a project.
Once the .tt files are changed then, the [Reverse Engineer Code First] option repeatably fails.

See http://stackoverflow.com/questions/36421344/visual-studio-2015-update-2-breaks-ef-reverse-code-engineer-vsix/40332849#40332849.

This tool doesn't seem to be working with Asp.net Core (Even with the fix to get it to work with VS 2015)..
:(

Is this dead? Would have expected to see something for VS2015 by now...

Read for working 2015 visual studios version of this:
I think that the program is great for database first minded coders and also for updating deprecated projects that are still using the edmx model. To help out new people using this extension I'd recommend using my clean visual studios project. https://github.com/lastlink/EFPowerToolsExample. This same visual studios extension is located in the extensions folder. I've updated it (it really was 1 line of code from some advice from someone else here) to support visual studios 2015. There are a few notes in my readme on how to use it. A weird glitch I've noticed is having to change the .NET Target framework of the project each time I want to run the extension.

It's been three years and this tool has not been updated?

Should be updated for VS 2015.

Great !! Vinicius Nunes Macedo
no-one think about this !!

by Vinicius Nunes Macedo | April 25 2016

The solution is simple.
#Full Mode
Make the download of project and change framework to 4.5 and rebuild
#Easy Mode
I rebuild in 4.6 and change for VS2015 too.

I'm having the same problem:

One or more errors occurred while processing template 'Entity.tt'.
error : An exception was thrown while trying to compile the transformation code. The following Exception was thrown:
System.ArgumentException: Empty path name is not legal.

Is anyone else having an issue with this after installing Update 2 for VS2015? I installed it yesterday and now every time I try to execute the reverse engineer function I get the following error:

One or more errors occurred while processing template 'Entity.tt'.
error : An exception was thrown while trying to compile the transformation code. The following Exception was thrown:
System.ArgumentException: Empty path name is not legal.

EDIT: It is still working fine in VS2013.

Needs to be updated to VS2015. I know how to hack it to work, but it's been long enough they should have this updated.
