SharpGL unlocks the power of OpenGL for the .NET Framework. The SharpGL Visual Studio Extensions add project templates to Visual Studio that give you a quick start for OpenGL applications for WinForms or WPF.
I have been trying to get started with OpenGL using SharpGL in VS 2015. I can load all the proper .dll files for SharpGL but can't figure out how to get a project template that will work. The extensions available don't work for VS2015 so I'm stuck. I would like to use SharpGL in a WinForms application. Any suggestions at all?
i have installed the extension in my VS 2013 Community Edition.
In "New Project" -> C# i have the SharpGL item for WPS only, not for Windows Forms.
In "New Project" -> VB i don't have any SharpGL item.
So is SharpGL only for C# and why i haven't the SharpGL for WindowsForms in C#?
I have installed the version 188.8.131.52 (from NuGet)
Strange, I'm not sure why you'd not get the WinForms templates. Unfortunately I have no VB templates and am unlikely to find the time to make any soon, it would have to be someone in the community contributing to the project. I'll look the missing WinForms template soon if I get a chance, you may find some help on the project github page, at github.com/dwmkerr/sharpgl.
When I do a search for "SharpGL" in the Extensions and Updates window of Visual Studio 2013 (Professional, Update 2), SharpGL doesn't show up in the list.
Is this version of Visual Studio supported?
I checked the bug list link posted. The bug states it is critical and fix ASAP, however it is still open and the downloaded .vsix file does not install with VS2013.
Please, some status would be great, a fix would be better.
If anyone has a suggestion that would be great as well.
