  • What is the Replacement for GAT?

    • Is GAT being retired because there is, or will be, a replacement? If so, please provide "guidance" as to what that replacement might be.

  • Auto enable a guidance package
    1 Posts | Last post June 24, 2011
    • I am currently creating a Guidance Package using GAX / GAT 2010. We have a lot of developers and a lot of (existing) solutions for which the package will be used, so it will be a big burden for all developers to manually enable the guidance package for the solutions. Therefore, I am looking for a way to automatically enable my guidance package. Is it possible to auto enable my guidance package for every solution or even when VS starts? I tried searching the net and the GAX forum (which isn't very active anymore it seems), but I can't find anywhere how this can be accomplished. Only thing I find so far is the following post: However, I have no clue on how to apply this to my package and if this would solve my problem.
      I would appreciate any help.
  • Why do I get this error when I try to install the VSIX?

    • When I try to install GAT or GAX I get "The system cannot find the path specified. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x080070003"). Why and what do I do to fix it? These are new Windows 7-64 Bit machines with only VS2010 Ultimate installed on them. I get the same issue with Windows Vista 32.
